Synopsis:

Penny Dreadful

A woman haunted by the childhood car crash that claimed the life of her mother and father finds her worst nightmares coming true when she and her therapist travel back to the scene of the accident in this tale of terror originally released as part of the After Dark Horrorfest. Penny (Rachel Miner) has never quite been able to shake off the trauma of seeing her mother and father perish when their car careened out of control on a long and lonely stretch of highway, and now her therapist (Mimi Rogers) is determined to help the fragile girl overcome her lingering fear of automobiles. But as much as Penny might hope to overcome her oppressive phobia, she is about to discover that there is indeed very much to dread on this remote mountain pass as a murderous hitchhiker emerges from the chilly, high-altitude fog to prey on the frightened girl's darkest fears.

The Ferryman

The horror film Ferryman stars John Rhys-Davies as a man who has cheated death for centuries thanks to the shifting Blade, a weapon that allows him to kill a person in trade for his own life. As the title character, death itself, appears again, the old man must find his next victim among a number of unsuspecting tourists.

The Slit Mouthed Woman

Japanese director Koji Shiraishi helms the direct-to-video supernatural horror picture Carved. The story unfolds in an ominous suburban town, where, 13 years prior, the spirit of a woman turned up to terrorize youngsters. During her tragic lifetime, the woman in question had been severely disfigured by her psychotic husband, who slashed her from mouth-to-cheek with a pair of scissors. After her untimely death, she prowled the streets of the town, clad in a surgical mask and a long, sweeping coat, and would accost her victims, removing her mask to reveal her deformities as she queried, "Am I pretty?" Any victim who answered negatively met an immediate grisly death. Now, after a lengthy absence, the woman's ghost returns to wreak another onslaught of terror on the community.

Hansel and Gretel

A reckless youngster Eun-soo drives to his mother’s place, and has a car accident. When Eun-soo wakes up, he meets a mysterious girl and is led to her fairytale-like house in the middle of the forest. There, Eun-soo is trapped with the girl and her siblings who never age. Soon he learns all the adults who visited or stayed in the house have met mysterious yet terrible ends. More shockingly, their cruel deaths are drawn in details and made into a fairytale book by the children. Scared Eun-soo tries to find the way out, but the house is secluded in the forest with no way out. Thereafter, Eun-soo discovers a book which tells a brutal end of none other than himself!

The Orphanage

Pan's Labyrinth director Guillermo del Toro produces director Juan Antonio Bayona's gothic frightener about a long-abandoned orphanage with a particularly troubling past. As a child, young orphan Laura spent her formative years being cared for by the staff of a large orphanage located by the Spanish seaside. Those were some of the happiest years of Laura's life, and now, 30 years later, the former charge returns to the dilapidated institution with her husband, Carlos, and their seven-year-old son, Simon, to reopen the orphanage as a facility for disabled children. However, something ominous haunts the darkened hallways of this silent, stately manor. When Simon's behavior begins to grow increasingly bizarre and malicious, Laura and Carlos start to suspect that the mysterious surroundings have awoken something ominous in the young boy's imagination......
