Dear everyday.com, here's a business tip. When acquiring merchants...let them know that when they limit their redemption hours, its not gonna do their business any good.

Imagine if someone bought this coupon and didn't realise the redemption time is up to 7pm only. Just imagine how pissed he/she would be if he/she comes to the restaurant only to find out that the discount is not redeemable because its after 7pm! Would that customer ever come back? NO. Would they recommend it to friends and family? NO. Who loses out? THE MERCHANT.

Upon realising that business hasn't picked up since the offering of discounts on your site, would the merchant advertise on Everyday again? Highly unlikely! Hence, when marketing your business, it is in your company's interest to educate these merchants on the value and the long-term business prospects that a good discount will bring.

Limiting their redemption hours will turn potential customers (like me) away and I don't think I will ever try this restaurant ever due to this 'first impression' I have of their business.

april : hi...regarding ur comment, it's interesting...because it already stated on the deal can be redeem at what time and on which day that customer that bought the coupon can redeem. i believe everyone will read it through out the deal before buy the coupon,rite...all the operating hour, the terms, location, list of menu etc...its just funny if someone buy the coupon without read through the term and details of the deal...and if the customer not satisfied with the term or operating hour then dont buy la...no one can force u to buy if u dont want to..

i'm big supporter for everyday..and they did a great job by deliver a great deal for customer, and for merchant they have agreement with everyday for the deal...their terms that need to follow and we as customer either take it or leave it..and some more its a good deal...cheap..what else we can expect... its a good deal, great deal, nice place (can close one eye for the minor disagreement abt the limitation operating hour) its open on sat!!!!!!

My point here is on consumer behaviour. The moment people see the limitations in redeem hours for this discount, many will disregard this deal and the merchant will be at a losing end. Moreover, they may choose never to try this restaurant simply because of this bad first impression they saw from this deal in the first place.

Don't you see the link? When the merchant loses out, so does everyday.
If everyday wants to maximise their business potential from these acquired merchants, they must educate these merchants about the long-term prospective customers that a good discount can bring in. Its simply strategic business sense to do so.

I bought many coupons for this deal. yummy!!
I've been there and met the boss himself. He is very particular for customer satisfaction.
It's true the cafe is only open 7am-7pm (as of now), because the surroundings there are more to office lots. That is why they only open until 7pm. After that hour, no one will come.
But here is the thing; there is one mall to be opened soon in front of the cafe, (quite a big mall), so the boss told me once the mall is open, they might extend the opening hour and might open on Sundays as well. That is their future plan. So i understood and agreed on that. Maybe later if they tie up a new deal with Everyday the T&C will be more flexible. Who knows..
They are still a baby in this business market and Everyday has open up a good ad for them. It is a brilliant start from Fresh Taste Cafe to promote their new brand here.
Its good if we hit some opinions, but don't be too harsh, it may look more like a sabotage.. ;)

but the price for the hot beverages is only standard price as in a normal cafe dear. The price is not too much expensive. =)

It is not possible to change to hot drinks, as it is stated in the T&C that you can only choose from 6 choices of ice blended or upgrade your drink to Mocha, Cappucino and Chocolate ice blended with an additional RM1.

Dear anting: I already ask the owner for your request. The price of the hot drinks is much cheaper than the ice blended. But the don't mind to change the drink. But again the hot drink only cost u around RM 3 only..so u may order or just change it..thanks ya!
